I am Wade Albert Merritt and it would be my distinguished privilege to represent the residents of Okaloosa County as District 3 Commissioner.
It was my honor to serve actively in the United States Air Force from October 1997 to October 2001 after attending Thomas Technical Institute from 1995 to 1997. I followed these four years of service with two years further service as an active reserve at Duke Field. I became a member of North Okaloosa County, where my domestic partner and I have raised 7 children and continue to reside. I am owner and chief technician of TTirrem Tractor and Equipment in Baker, Florida.
It is my belief that the rural farming communities within Okaloosa County should be represented by one who shares their concerns and hopes for the future with respect to the continued overall development of our county as a whole. I am acutely aware of the issues as well as the potential preservation and growth of our home and would serve as both listener and needed voice in the workings of our county government.
Once more, I am Wade Albert Merritt, seeking election to become a conscientious and devoted member of the Okaloosa County Commission, District 3.
I will continue to work closely with the farming communities within Northern Okaloosa County in order to learn what their needs are so as to represent them in the future.
I fully support our military communities and bases in our area and will strive to provide for the needs of these community members.
As an involved community member with our Northern Okaloosa Volunteer fire departments, I will strive to make sure these organizations are better able to support there communities.
I fully support our local law enforcement and their endeavors to create a safer community for your families and mine to live in.
